A place worthy of the name it possesses
My stay at ‘The View’ was nothing short of magical and, genuinely without exaggeration - life changing. The place has a stunning serenity and calmness that brings anyone the peace and tranquility they’re looking for. It is the perfect spot to disconnect and recharge.
At over 40 sq.m., the rooms are spacious with comfortable beds, brilliantly designed baths, fabulous terrace with relaxation chairs / pods but most imporant of all - a truly impeccable quality of service. I want to give a shoutout to the staff: Mr. Akbar and Mr. Richard (the hotel managers) went above and beyond to ensure my 3 night stay was as comfortable as it could ever be. Beyond that, I was truly in awe of how welcoming all the staff were and how embraced I was, from the kindness of Basheer (the gate guard) upon the moment I stepped foot into this place and to the attentive hospitality of Francis (the best restaurant head waiter I’ve ever come across in my life) and the chef Gakher who went the extra mile to ensure that my culinary needs were met and satisfied to the absolute fullest.
My compliments to all of them and hats off for being a hard working group of top notch, world class professionals in everything that you do. I look forward to visit again very very soon!!

Worth the drive
The hotel overlooks the city of Al Hamra and can be reached only through an unpaved road. A 4x4 is highly recommended to get to the top but the view is worth the ride. During our stay there were not many guests so everything was very quiet. We also had the chance to enjoy a couple of hours by the pool before dinner.

The long bumpy drive up is worth the amazing view
After a brief stop to take in a panoramic view of Al Hamra, my wife and I were driven up to The View Oman Hotel in a 4x4 vehicle. Driving on the winding and rocky road takes some time, but is well worth the journey to the top!
Once we reached the reception area, we checked in and were provided a complimentary glass of mint lemonade. This is a very refreshing beverage which I fell in love with during my time in Oman. We were then provided the key to our pod and our luggage was brought to our “Pod”—we were in Pod 7. The room was very comfortable with a large bed which provided a great night sleep. The bathroom was modern and was spotlessly clean. It provided a separate shower stall that was quite spacious as well as an inviting bathtub. The highlight of Pod 7 was our balcony which had comfortable seating and spectacular views of the valley below as well as the surrounding mountain ranges.
The grounds were gorgeous with lots of flowers, shrubs and manicured grass. The main walkway was a delight to stroll through on our way to the restaurant as well as the outdoor pool. For our dinner, we decided to eat outside; the staff set up heating lamps which provided the perfect temperature so we could enjoy the valley and mountain views. The dinner offerings included a variety of salads, vegetables, rice fish as well as traditional Omani desserts. I started with a vegetable hot and sour soup which was warming and delicious. For my entrée, I had dal with rice, garden salad, olives and potato wedges. The food was very good and well-seasoned. For dessert, I had rice pudding and a small square of the traditional Omani coconut cake.
Breakfast was in the same restaurant (the only restaurant on site) and offered a variety of fruit, baked goods, fresh juices, sausages and other breakfast items. I had foul mudammas, chicken sausage, fruit salad, watermelon juice and the amazing mint lemonade.
The hotel includes an expansive outdoor pool with lots of seating and great mountain views. The grounds are easy to walk around and there are only 30 rooms, so we found the hotel to be quiet and relaxing.
This hotel offers a special experience for guests, being at one with nature with delicious meals and a warm and welcoming staff.

Nice View!
As they name says: the view, wow. When you wake up with this view you can’t have a bad stay.
We had cabine 27, there is really nobody who can see you when you are in your room and that makes it even greater because everything is glassed.
The pool is great and the people are friendly. The only downside is the food.

Perfect view and quietness! We loved this place!
What a great place to stay! Beautiful view. So peacefull and amazing. The service was very, very good end the people very friendly. The food was also very good. The pool is amazing!!
The cabins are oké. Not extreem luxurieus but sufficiënt and modern.
The floor was damaged so we had to be carefull with bare foot in the room. The door jammed because of the damaged floor. This was the only thing we did not like.
I would absolutly recommend this place! The best place we stayed in so far!

The view , located in Jabal shams was an exceptional experience for us. As the name of the property, it surely gives an awesome view of the adjacent villages like al hamra and others. Staff at the property were so courteous and kind. Rooms are super clean and all the rooms have a beautiful view of the Al hamra valley. I am attaching some food ???? also. Shashi , one of the frontoffice executives was with us all the time. Great efforts by The View

Incredible and Amazing Stay! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!
Stayed here for couple of nights and i would say it is one of the most under rated Resort in Oman.
It's simply wowed me in everything right from the welcoming, food , Pool and breathtaking view.
Staffs are welcoming and so attentive at all times. For example i was having a complication to switch on the lights in the balcony. A staff who had noticed from the restaurant called immediately and checked for the issue and sent an engineer to fix it.
Room has got a fantastic view especially in nights you can see the whole city from your bed which is quite remarkable.
About food we tried several properties in Mountains and we always had some sort of complications with food. So we kept our expectations very low. But the team amazed with the food taste , quality and presentation. I never had such a tasty food in hotels for sure. Great thanks to the Chef Rajesh and Jakir (Hope i didn't spell it wrong).
Special thanks to Bipin and Som in the restaurant who looked after us with all our requests.
The pool was great and it's has got a nice view to the city and the mountains.
I would like to recommend everyone to try this Gem in the mountain.
Definitely will be back soon. Thank you once again to the entire The View Oman Team.
