Amazing Unobstructed Views from Floor to Ceiling Windows and Private Balcony!
It was a privilege to stay in this unique "eco-lux hotel" set at 1,450 meters above sea level on a slope of Jebel Shams. A 4x4 is necessary to reach this destination. From Al Hamra, there are frequent signs leading you to and up the 8km winding road. Each room is individually placed to optimize views and privacy. The walkways between buildings are very stable with a secure walking surface and handrails on either side. Changes in elevation are moderated across the distance with only a few steps at a time. The staff was professional and gracious. Dinner and breakfast were delicious buffet meals. The room was well-designed and had the desired upscale amenities. Of course, our favorite feature was the floor to ceiling windows and the balcony which ran across the front of the room and looked out on that amazing view. We enjoyed the views every moment of our stay.... literally from the moment we arrived till sunset, then from sunrise to checkout. We're already looking forward to a repeat visit someday soon!

Loved my stay at this unique hotel.
This hotel is incredible. The location is very remote, on top of a mountain. The 5 mile gravel road up to the hotel is an adventure. The view is amazing and the property is top notch. The rooms is very modern and comfortable. The bathrooms are spacious with large free-standing tubs and a shower. Each has it's own deck and sliding glass doors. The pool is very nice and the restaurant is great. We only had one dinner there but were very pleased with the food and selection. Highly recommended.

Wonderful hotel, amazing views
Before we arrived we wondered why the hotel is called the View. It’s now clear! The views are just amazing. One can sit on the terrace, lounge in the bath, or lie on the very comfortable bed of one’s room looking out over the extensive mountain ranges. Staff very friendly, amazing warm infinity pool, good food for both breakfast and dinner.

Great place, despite the torrential rain.
Wonderful place - if it doesn't rain;) We were surprised at how fierce the rain was coming down in a normally rather dry desert area. The staff did everything to clean the water coming down the walls and the windows. We loved the view and the pool deck. The rather warm water in the pool made it an experience despite the bad weather. The food was also good with something for everybody. The staff was great and super friendly! Would love to come back in better weather...

Loved our stay
We stayed one night at The View and we loved it. The cabins are totally fine (yes, not super new, but clean and in good shape) and the view is breathtaking. The staff was super friendly and helpful.
We hung out by the pool for a couple of hours which was super nice. When I first approached the pool, I was worried because I couldn't see any umbrellas (and I burn easily), but staff was really helpful and set one up for me.
The food was also good.
Would stay here again!

Could not have asked for more.
We celebrated our team's 25th anniversary at The View, booking the entire resort for an unforgettable night. With over 50 attendees, every aspect exceeded our expectations. The dedicated team seamlessly coordinated our requests, the F&B team delighted us with delicious food, and Mr. Abbas, the leader, ensured his team went above and beyond. Not a single person had negative feedback, and our 25th-year celebration couldn't have been better.
Thanks guys.. these memories will definitely last a lifetime.
Oh and btw... the location is like the resort name... photos taken at the property was breathtaking.

Best Stay Ever will surely come back again! I love the dinner menu when we came. We will try to stay longer next time and with friends from other countries in order for them to experience the best of Oman

A place worthy of the name it possesses
My stay at ‘The View’ was nothing short of magical and, genuinely without exaggeration - life changing. The place has a stunning serenity and calmness that brings anyone the peace and tranquility they’re looking for. It is the perfect spot to disconnect and recharge.
At over 40 sq.m., the rooms are spacious with comfortable beds, brilliantly designed baths, fabulous terrace with relaxation chairs / pods but most imporant of all - a truly impeccable quality of service. I want to give a shoutout to the staff: Mr. Akbar and Mr. Richard (the hotel managers) went above and beyond to ensure my 3 night stay was as comfortable as it could ever be. Beyond that, I was truly in awe of how welcoming all the staff were and how embraced I was, from the kindness of Basheer (the gate guard) upon the moment I stepped foot into this place and to the attentive hospitality of Francis (the best restaurant head waiter I’ve ever come across in my life) and the chef Gakher who went the extra mile to ensure that my culinary needs were met and satisfied to the absolute fullest.
My compliments to all of them and hats off for being a hard working group of top notch, world class professionals in everything that you do. I look forward to visit again very very soon!!
